When it comes to football games for PC, there are two principal names: PES and FIFA. Electronic Arts, which develops and distributes FIFA, has also released the new version of the game of football with more fun and joy these years, FIFA 14 for iOS and Android so that the fans can play on their smartphone, iPhone, tablet and iPad.
The game is free-to-play, FIFA then you can download and play for free as you want without disappointments or special restrictions. If you want more, and after playing a bit ‘of games, you can unlock all modes of competition for very less cost. You can then make other purchases within the game, it will only ways to become faster and stronger “calls” to spend money is not at all necessary.
FIFA 14 offers two different control modes. The first, rather uncomfortable, you play with gestures without having the side buttons. I do not know whether it is a matter of practice but every time you touch the screen covering the action and you can not be precise.
In the second case, you can use the classic controls with on-screen buttons, much more familiar. Who has not ever played will still find a little ‘difficulty because the touchscreen buttons are not physical but after a little practice, you should be able to do it. It’s important to remember that the gameplay is slightly simplified compared to the console version and can not be reproduced in full on a smartphone or a tablet.
There is much to do in FIFA 14 even without having to spend a dime. You can play with the Ultimate Team and progress by acquiring new players, growing a team from the latest positions to the top of the standings. Another interesting mode is the Football Club Match to play with your favorite teams. There is also a game mode with the challenge to penalties which is great fun when you only have a few minutes.
In addition there is the multiplayer that requires Wi-Fi and allows you to play online with other people. Other modes like Tournament and the coach are available for the game.
FIFA 14 has exceptional graphics that works well only on smartphones latest model.
The level of detail is high and provides a fine view of the field. The animations are really nice, even if the players do not look very much like the real ones. The only criticism I can make is that, in the end, the game is almost identical to FIFA 13. Those who had the previous version will not find big difference.
FIFA 14 is certainly not the football game for iPhone and Android, but it’s close to the console level, very realistic, with teams and real players. The best thing though is that FIFA 14 is free and that the mode of purchases within the game is not intrusive and restrictive as often happens.
